Travel Books, handbooks and Travel guides for Baja California and Mexico
Lonely Planet
Very useful handbook to travel in all Baja California.
Where to stay, to eat and what to visit.
The long, beautiful peninsula of Baja
California is full of possibility. You can sport fish for marlin, snorkel the Sea of Cortés, surf the primo waves of the Pacific, or explore the sere beauty of the desert. There are intriguing small
towns, plush resort villas, secluded beaches....
Moon Handbook Baja
Another must have if you're planning to travel in Baja California.
Since its creation in 1973, the award-winning Moon Handbooks series has become a top choice among travelers who want a completely unique experience,
a new perspective -- and a few new stories to tell.
Want to know about your destination's history, culture, and social issues?
Literature about Baja California is now very extensive, here are just some "best values " that we easily can recommend to you.
The Baja peninsula is an unique place in the world and we hope that our tips will help you to successfully prepare your travel.
Mexican cuisine, cooking and recipes
Authentic Mexican
A very complete Mexican cooking book, that gives not only recipes but also traces the history of Mexican cookery.

The New Complete Book of Mexican Cooking
A collection of authentic recipes gathered before other cultural influences began to change .

Recipe of Memory
This mix of recipes, photos, anecdotes and history blends its ingredients much as Mole Caragueno combines lamb, chiles, peanuts, clove and cinnamon.
Recommended books to learn Spanish: all levels.
501 Spanish Verbs
According to us it's probably the best Spanish conjugations book; complete and very easy to use. Unfortunately, very often out-of-print (because it's so good!)

Test Yourself Spanish Grammar
A very convenient book to learn and review your Spanish.
Careful, beginners must start at chapter 10.

The Ultimate Spanish
Excellent and very complete Spanish grammar book, however we don't recommend it to pure beginners.
Advanced Spanish Grammar and Practical Spanish Grammar

These two books are both excellent and considering the price you shouldn't hesitate to get both of them.

They both contain very useful vocabulary and expressions and they cover a good part of the Spanish language and grammar.

You want to be conversational in Spanish, well these are the right tools!
One regret: they don't talk ....
Recommended books to study Spanish: high intermediate and advanced students
Repase y escriba
This advanced book focuses on Spanish grammar and composition. It has been revised to offer new introductory readings featuring more recent authors and magazine articles dealing with contemporary issues, as well as new interactive exercises and activities. Our opinion: excellent.

Aproximaciones al estudio de la literatura hispánica
More than just an anthology of Spanish and Spanish American literature, this text is also an introduction to literary analysis. Each section is accompanied by an introduction and exercises.
Other suggested Spanish books
Spanish slang, Spanish  idioms, Spanish bad words, very bad Spanish words
Street Spanish I , II and III

The kind of Spanish you will never learn at school but that you really need.
Slang and bad words are not taught at school but are part of the "real" life.
Fun and interesting.
These are great books, but of course be very cautious when it's time to put into practice what you've learnt with them.
